Hi there and welcome to our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! This month our team is focusing on the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Suite. With Spring around the corner, this whole Suite offers so many opportunities to create beautiful projects with and today, as usual I have three types of cards for you. One for the beginner, one for the casual and one for the advanced crafter.
Let me start out with the card with the beginner in mind. I try to create these cards very simply and most of the time they are quick and simple and this is for sure a quick and simple card.
To create this card, all I did is stamp the floral stamp using Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the Whisper White card base and colored the flower in using Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Combo and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo. This flower can be colored in with any color, so I chose Bermuda Bay for mine. Next, I stamped the sentiment next to the flower once again using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
My next card is for the casual stamper and it’s a little bit of a step up and here is what I came up with.
This time my card base is Whisper White again, but I decided to mix in a little bit of designer series paper from the suite. I just love this green stripy paper, which I cut to 3-3/4 x 5. Next I die cut the circle element using Whisper White cardstock and adhered it on the designer series paper panel. I stamped the background stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set using Real Red ink on a piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and tied it around the designer series paper panel and adhered it all on the card base.
I white embossed the sentiment on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and die cut it using one of the labels from the Painted Labels Dies. Adhered it on top of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered one of the Peaceful Poppies Elements, as seen on picture. Finally, I added 3 Peaceful Poppies Sequins.
My final card is for the advanced crafter and I have to admit, I have a lot of layers going on here and I just love how this card turned out.
To create this card, I used a Whisper White card base and cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Designer Series Paper and adhered it as I wanted to use that as my mat. I think this paper is so stunning! Next, I cut a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 Whisper White panel. I stamped some of the background images from the Painted Poppies stamp set using Pool Party Ink and some of the leaves using Old Olive ink and adhered the panel onto the card front.
Next, I adhered the black border from the Peaceful Poppies Elements sort of in the middle of the card to the right. I stamped two background stamps (one small and one large flower) using Real Red onto Whisper White cardstock, than stamp the flower outline stamps using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut them. I stamped 3 leaves using Old Olive ink onto Old Olive Cardstock and die cut them. I pulled out two flowers and two leaves ready to watercolor from the Peaceful Poppies Elements and I painted the flowers using Real Red ink and the laves using Old Olive ink.
I white embossed the sentiment onto Real Red cardstock and die cut it using one of the labels from the Painted labels Dies. Finally, I layered all the flowers and leaves and even tucked in some of the vellum elements from the Peaceful Poppies Elements. If you don’t have those, I highly recommend getting it as you get all this in the package.
