Welcome back!!! Today it’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop time and we have sweet sketch to try out. Because of this beautiful sketch I was prompted to pull out the Frosted Foliage Bundle and create a fun sponged background. Because of the blending of the cool colors, I was able to create this wintery feel card.
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THIS CARD:
(Please scroll down for the downloadable PDF)
Cut the card base, which is Seaside Spray, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score and fold at 4-1/4. Cut a 5 x 3-3/4 Whisper White cardstock and using sponges, add Coastal Cabana in the middle, and Seaside Spray and Pacific Point inks on the outer areas. As a result, the sponging creates the beautifully blended background.
Next, stamp the snowflakes stamps in the middle section using Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink and on the bottom portion using Night of Navy, because this way you will achieve a multidimensional look. Cut a 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 Night of Navy cardstock and adhere it under the sponged background as a mat and adhere them on top of the card base. Die cut the larger sentiment label using the Merry Christmas dies using Night of Navy cardstock and stamp the sentiment on it using Whisper White ink.
Die cut the Frosted Frame using Silver Glimmer paper and cut into three pieces to use just the the top and bottom portion only to frame the sentiment label, just as it’s shown below.
Cut out two branches using Sparkle Glimmer Paper using the branch dies. Adhere the frame pieces together along with the branches on the bottom using liquid glue. Adhere the sentiment label on top of it using Tear & Tape and adhere them all to the card front.
One more time, here is a close up picture of the Sponged Background Frosted Foliage card.
