Hi there, hope your week is going well. Today I am back with Simple Stamping Tuesdays and my card highlights one of the Sale-a-bration sets I love and haven’t played with yet called Lovely Lattice. Being that it’s a Simple Stamping Tuesday it’s not my typical card and I do have ideas for this set for sure…but here I am with a quick and simple card that I think is pretty and sure hope you do, too. Here is what I came up with.
It’s a very easy card to recreate and what I love about it is that you can recreate this with so many other ink colors. I used Gray Granite as my card base, and that allows so many different colors to use. Anyway, here is how I created it.
To create this card I started out with the card base, which is Gray Granite card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I cut a 3-3/4 x 5 watercolor paper and spritzed it with water and using an Aqua Painter, but you can use any brush, I added a drop of Melon Mambo ink refill and moved it around with the brush and soaked some of it up with a paper towel. Once I got the right looks as I was going for a lighter color look I dried it and using Gray Granite ink I stamped the Lovely Lattice floral image on it toward the left side. Finally I took the sentiment from the Needle & Thread set and stamped it on using Gray Granite ink once again and adhered the panel to the card base and that is it. So, really it’s not more than a 10 minute card if that.
