Hi there, welcome to our blog hop! Elaine and I are hopping again and today our cards are using this fun sketch! My card today is quite contrasting, not your typical Valentine’s Day card the least to say..LOL I am using the Meant to be Bundle for this.
Check out what I created using this fun sketch!
I actually love the way this card pops!!! My card was inspired by using some new Sale-a-bration products, which are the gorgeous Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick Foil sheets. I wasn’t sure how I would like working with the, but look at how awesome they are!!! You can emboss them! Both using an embossing folder, or wet emboss an image on them. I just love them!! And if you want to recreate the card, here are the steps I took to make them.
To create this card I started out with the card base, which is Basic Black card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I ran the card front through the Lace embossing folder. I cut a 4 x 2 banner using the Lovely Lipstick Foil and adhered it to the card front using Tear & Tape. I cut two 1/2 x 4 banners using Lemon Lime Twist card stock and adhered them on top of the Lovely Lipstick foil banner.
I cut a 2-3/4 x 4 Lemon Lime Twist card stock and ran it through the Lace embossing folder. I cut a 3 x 4-1/2 Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet and die cut the button with the cute scallop edge die and adhered the embossed panel to it and all of it to the card front.
Next I die cut the hearts border using Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet and using Liquid glue I adhered on top of the embossed panel. I die cut the largest hear shape using Basic Black card stock, next the smaller heart using the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet, which I ran through the Tufted embossing folder and adhered them on of each other and adhered them to the card.
Next I die cut the smaller heart using Lovely Lipstick Foil sheet and white embossed the floral heart image and adhered it on top fo the other hearts. I die cut the cute flower die using Lemon Lime Twist card stock, adhered it on top of the embossed heart and I cut a 3/4 x 1-3/4 banner using Whisper White and stamped my sentiment on it using Lovely Lipstick, curled it in the middle and adhered it to the heart using both liquid glue and a mini dimensional. At last I added one of the Lovely Lipstick foil sheet hearts that popped out of the heart border and that is is…your card is done!
Here is closeup look of the heart. The Grapefruit Grove foil is amazing…seriously love it!!
