Happy Saturday to you all! Today I have some October Paper Pumpkin Alternative card ideas to share. If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, you probably have your kit by now. What do you think of it? I think it’s one of the best kits. Perhaps because I LOVE feathers and detailed die cuts, which this kit is about. In the kit there are two card versions, so I made those, but today I want to highlight the alternative cards created with this gorgeous kit.
Aren’t these so fun? I love the original card designs in the kit, but I wanted to give you some other options. So here is my first card.
This card is similar to the original card design that came in the kit, but just a step up. The way I created this card was by stamping the feathers on the front with the Night of Navy ink pad. Next I added gold shimmer paint to the feathers and adhered them to the card front. Next I ran the oval die cut through the Corrugated embossing folder and once again using my finger I added gold shimmer paint to the raised parts. I gold embossed the sentiment onto the printed label and adhered it on top of the blue label and adhered them on top of the feathers. Next I tied a bow on a branch and adhered it to my card and finally added some sequins.
Here is another detailed look of this card.
Now lets move onto my next card. I really, really love the way it turned out.
I love how textured this card looks. Here is how I made it. First I cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base out of Coastal Cabana card stock and I ran the card front through the Swirls and Curls embossing folder. Next I cut a 3 3/4 x 5 size Whisper White panel and I adhered the feathers on it to create a patterned paper look. I just love the way this looks, don’t you? Than I punched a Whisper White Pretty Label, stamped the leaf motives on it using Coastal Cabana ink and the sentiment and other elements using Night of Navy and adhered the ribbon under it and the blue oval label and adhered it to my card. Finally I added a few more die cut branches to the label.
Here is another look of this card.
Finally let me share about my final card.
I was really inspired by the leafy stamp and I love to create patterns with stamps, so that’s what I did with this one. I cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base out of Mint Macaron card stock, this time horizontally. Than I cut a 3 3/4 x 5 size panel out of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped my pattern on it. I added the feathers, which I tied a bow on and adhered them all to the card. I die cut an oval shape using Stitched Shapes and adhered the printed label on top and stamped my sentiment using Night of Navy ink and adhered them all on the card front.
Here is a closer look of this card.
