Hello and happy Monday. For my US friends, happy Memorial Day to you! Today I am sharing a card with a brand new set that I am a little obsessed with at the moment….LOL. Abstract Impressions and it’s coordinating die set called Springtime Impressions. I had to get this bundle as soon as I could and in fact I just designed a class with it and will share more about that later. But for now, let me share the card I made.
Isn’t this just so fun? I love all the colors and texture elements. Here is how I created it:
- The card base is Lemon Lime Twist Card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I cut a 4 x 5-1/2 panel from the Coastal Cabana Card stock and ran it through the Petal Burst embossing folder and adhered it to the card base.
- Next I die cut the gorgeous floral piece out of Very Vanilla card stock and using Liquid Multipurpose Glue adhered to to the card front.
- Next I stamped the flowers onto Very Vanilla card stock using Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody and Highland Heather inks by inking up the larger stamp and stamping it on a spare paper and once some of the ink got removed stamping it onto the card stock. Next I inked up the more detailed stamp using the same ink and direct stamped it onto the larger stamp. This way you are using the same ink pad, but getting a lighter and darker version of the ink and creating a layered look. I also added the leaves using Lemon Lime Twist ink and cut each flower out.
- Next I cut a 1-3/4 strip out of Basic Black card stock and white embossed my sentiment on it and using the Banner Triple Punch I created my banner. I adhered my flowers under the banner the way I wanted to arrange them and adhered all that to the card front and you are done!
Here is another look of my card.
And if you would like to recreate this card, here is the list of products I used to make it.
With this card I am playing along the newest Just Add Ink Inspiration challenge, which is practically my colors.
Did you know Friday is when our new catalog releases? I am so excited as it will be so fun to be able to order more new goodies. Friday I will announce my new class that I AM super excited to share about as well. I will make it available both in person and online. Hope you’ll join me in some format.
