UPDATE: I created a video on how to watercolor this card using a different color scheme, so if you would like to see that, you can check it out here: LOVELY FLORAL WATERCOLOR TUTORIAL
Hello, hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. I had a lot of fun and our weather is just beautiful so that helped, too! Today I have a very happy card created with the gorgeous Lovely Floral Embossing folder, which I painted in with watercolors. I love the way it turned out and it was a pretty quick card to make. I think I will make a few using different color schemes.
So here is how I created this card:
- The card base is Whisper White card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 panel from the Mint Macaron card stock and I distressed the edges with my scissors and adhered it to the card base.
- Next I cut a 3 1/2 – 4 3/4 size panel out of watercolor paper and ran it through the Lovely Floral embossing folder twice in different parts of the panel to get two images. I also distressed the edges.
- I watercolored the floral image using Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz and stamped my sentiment with Mint Macaron. I really wanted to use the new colors on this one!
- I die cut the little floral corner from the Petals and More Thinlits dies and tucked them under the corner of my floral panel and adhered it on my card front and that is it.
Here is another view of the card.
Hope you like happy card and here is the list of items I used to create them with.
