Hello and welcome back to our second Happy Stampers Blog Hop! Hope you enjoyed it last week and glad to have you back! Today we have a color combo inspiration for you and it’s a pretty one for sure.
Here is what I came up with using these fun colors. Last week my card was dare I say a black card, not really giving the spring feels…LOL…this week it’s a much happier card. Once again I used a few retiring items. One of them is the Petal Palette Bundle and the other one is the Lots of Labels Framelits.
Here is how I created this card:
- The card base is Sahara Sand card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 panel from the Pool Party stock and I ran it through the Petal Burst Embossing folder and adhered it to my card base.
- Next I cut a 3 1/2 – 4 3/4 size panel out of watercolor paper and I stamped the branch images with Lemon Lime Twist ink on it and spritzed it with water. This way the image ran just a bit and I quickly touched it up with paper towel to control how much the ink was running. Next I stamped my little flower image using Pool Party ink and I splattered some ink using the Aqua Painter. I adhered that panel onto the card front.
- Next I die cut a label using Lots of Labels out of watercolor paper and using Sahara Sand ink I stamped the cute flowers and also the sentiment. I colored the flower image using inks and Aqua painter.
- I die cut the lacey border using Pool Party card stock and the cute little flower image using Wisper White card stock and placed the behind my sentiment label and adhered all to the card front.
Here is the close up of the card. I just love the background so much. Hope you do, too!
Now it’s time to hop over and see what my team mates have come up with for this week’s sketch. They are both very creative so I know you are going to love their projects. You can click on the Next button, or on the names below to visit their blogs:
