Hello and welcome to our Autism Awareness Blog Hop. A group of us crafters decided to create a blog hop in support of bringing more awareness to Autism. To be honest I have been fortunate not to have any impact on my life with Autism, but my heart goes out to people who are affected and I hope at some point this will solved. With that said I know research is very important and today I ask if you would donate to the Organization for Autism Research. You can read more about them HERE.
Perhaps you have a child or know someone who has a child who has been affected. If we all chip in, we can all help tremendously with this cause and make a difference in someone’s life.
And now let me share with you the card I created for this blog hop. As I thought about what stamp set should I use, the High Tide stood out for me, as I really loved the sentiment that came with it. I thought it was so appropriate and here is what I came up with.
Here are the steps to create this card.
- The card base is Pool Party card stock 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 5-1/2. Next I cut a 4 x 5-1/2 panel from the Daffodil Delight stock and adhered it to my card base.
- Next I cut a 3-7/8 – 5-1/4 size panel out of Whisper White card stock and I stamped the water image using Pool Party and Bermuda Bay ink. Next I stamped the land image using crumb cake and I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the water stamped image to create an inlet image. Next I stamped the light house image using Tranquil Tide and Cherry Cobbler ink and once again fussy cut it out and adhered it to my card on the land image.
- Next I stamped the light images onto my card and stamped the birds and the grass images and fussy cut them all and placed them on my card.
- At last I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and cut a strip of it and stapled it onto the card.
Well, hope you like this card as much as I do. I sure love it a lot. Here is a close up image of the details on this card.
And now it’s time for you to check out what the other ladies created for this blog hop. I know I can hardly wait to check them out as we didn’t share with each other what each of us created. So here is the list of the super talented ladies list.
