Well, hello there!!! Warning!!! This will be a longish post…LOL What a past 7 days this has been. If you are still my follower, you may notice I moved into a WordPress site. Well, I like to do things by myself with a lot of outside help if needed and this was definitely a huge learning curve, nevertheless somehow I managed it….LOL. Hope you like my new home! I sure do.
And the news is that I decided to join Stampin Up!. I was a demo back in the early 2000’s for a couple of years and after that I worked for lots of manufacturers as you may remember. Due to my huge move to Canada I stopped creating, but somehow playing with stamps and pretty things has creeped back into my life and I got this idea of why not share the love of stamping as a business. So, with my friend Sandi MacIver’s help, who is a very successful demonstrator I finally signed up, as what better time to sign up than during Sale-a-bration period? Hint, hint….
So from now I will be enticing you, yes, enticing you to play along with some pretty stamps and paper and maybe even buy some with me. Hope you don’t mind…LOL I do have some fun plans!
Anyway, let me get to my creation for today! Today’s card features the Blossoming Basket stamp set. During this Sale-a-bration time if you order $120 worth of products, you have the opportunity to earn this beautiful stamp set along with an embossing folder, that is just fabulous. I was inspired to create this card using a sketch from Global Design Project and also the current inspiration from SU Only Challenges blog.
Well, there you have it.
- The card base is Lemon Lime Twist 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 4-1/4. Next I cut two pieces of 3-3/4 x 5-1/4. One out of Whisper White and one from Tutti-Frutti Designer papers and stacked them on top of each other as you see it on my card. I tied a Pool Party Baker’s twine around my two panels and adhered it to my card base.
- Next I stamped my basket image onto Whisper White card stock and using Aqua Painter and inks I painted it in. I also stamped the tag and the three little butterflies and painted those as well. Than I fussy cut them all.
- Next I laid my cutout onto a Delicate White Doily and added all that to my card front and also the little butterflies and the tag.
- Finally I stamped my sentiment using Early Espresso, cut it out and added it to my basket.
Hope you enjoy this little card. I sure do, I think it screams Spring, don’t you? Our snow is mostly gone and that makes me happy. I can come out of hibernation!
