Welcome to our Mixed Media Blog Hop between JustRite Papercrafts and Faber-Castell. We partnered up and exchanged products to showcase what a great match we are. I for one had so much fun using Faber-Castell products and I know our whole design team was in love with their products, too!
And of course, what kind of blog hop would it be without prizes? Both companies have generously offered prizes for each day. I will share about those at the end of my post, but for now, let me share what I created with JustRite Papercrafts stamps, and Faber-Castell’s Gelatos.
I used our newly released stamp sets, Grand Damask Background stamp and Floral Vintage Labels Two and yummy Gelatos. Here is a closeup of my card, you can see all the pretty coloring I did with the Gelatos. I really, really love working with Gelatos and I sure hop it shows in my card.
Let me walk you through what I did. I first white embossed my images onto white card stock. First worked with the background. Once I was done with the embossing, I die cut my background using Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Nine die, than I started coloring in with my yellow, orange and pink Gelatos.
Than using baby wipes I blended the colors till I got the right coverage.
Here is what it looked like when I finished blending.
I also white embossed two flowers and painted them in with Gelatos using a wet brush this time. Once they were dry, I cut the middle of one out to layer on top of the other one to get a 3D image.
For my card base I die cut with the largest Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Nine die out of white card stock, and embossed it using Spellbinders So Trendy M-bossibilities and colored the raised parts with metallic Gelatos and layered all my other elements on top of it.
Here is a last picture of my finished card, which I added pretty May Arts twill ribbon. Also my sentiment was stamped onto Spellbinders Splendid Circles.
